Anna Aistova – Soprano
Anna Aistova embarked on her musical journey at the age of six, initially focusing on piano studies. Quickly emerging as a soloist in the children's choir of Radio & TV in Saint Petersburg, Russia, she later earned degrees in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Master's in Opera from the Mannes School of Music.
Her diverse musical projects, which have included choir collaborations with the Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky theaters, solo performances with the Folk Orchestra of Saint Petersburg, and leading roles in opera productions at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Opera, showcase her versatility. Noteworthy portrayals encompass Josephine in The Comedy on The Bridge, La Fée in Cendrillon, and Norina in Don Pasquale.
Highlights from 2022 feature Soprano Solo in Mahler’s 4th Symphony with the Mannes Orchestra and her leading part as Calisto in La Calisto with the Mannes Opera. Anna received the Director’s Award from the James Toland Vocal Competition in 2021 and a full scholarship from The Mannes School of Music in the same year.
In 2023, she debuted with the New Rochelle Opera, playing Adele in Die Fledermaus. Anna garnered recognition by being a finalist in the SAS Performing Arts Competition in 2023 and securing a Second Prize in the John Alexander National Competition in February 2024. Anna enjoys a diverse career as an opera artist in NYC and is a soloist with Musica Viva NY, where in the 23/24 season she sang soprano solo parts in Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Requiem by Mozart, and Requiem by Fauré.
Anna began 2025 by joining the prestigious Castleton Festival in Virginia and looks forward to exciting debuts with Musica Viva in Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem and with Garden State Opera in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater this season.
